PREREQUISITE FOR THIS TRAINING

General networking knowledge and experience:

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, network topologies, and the OSI model of networking protocol stacks
• Understanding of TCP/IP, network addressing, subnets, and Network Address Translation (NAT)
• Knowledge of basic router concepts
• Familiarity with IPSec functionality and implementation

Network Security Fundamentals (~4 hrs On-line course):
This course is for those students that are not familiar with the basic concepts of Network Security. While not required, the concepts put forth in this course are tested during the certification exam.

Network Security Essentials eLearning Course (~6 hrs On-line course):
This eLearning course will provide you with critical foundational information concerning firewall technology, security risks and remediation and network security design and implementation considerations.
Additionally you will learn how to configure and implementSonicWALL firewall appliances, and extend the firewall’s capability using rules, security applications and other network specific functions and troubleshooting techniques.

Virtual Private Networking with SonicWALL (~6 hrs Online):
A critical follow-on to Securing Networks with SonicWALL OS, Virtual Private Networking with SonicWALL will give you a comprehensive education in core VPN technology, design and implementation considerations. You will also learn aboutSonicWALL specific VPN configuration and deployment as well as troubleshooting techniques. Like Securing Networks with SonicOS, you will be able to practice key activities through online simulations.
